Before being inducted into and (and giving the acceptance speech for) the National High School Hall of Fame in 2017, Missy earned a full scholarship to play basketball at Duke University, played professional basketball in Germany, and coached Division III and II teams to 3 regular season titles. Missy soon became a highly sought-after keynote & motivational speaker. Businesses, national organizations, summits, high schools, youth organizations, colleges & leadership seminars around the country have benefited from Missy’s transformative message.

Her mission: To transform students, athletes, coaches, parents & leaders struggling with lack of confidence, failures and insecurities into empowered, self-assured and courageous individuals and teams.

Upon graduation from the University of Connecticut, Colleen leveraged the skills she learned, both academically and as a member of the Women’s Basketball Team, to excel in the corporate world - winning awards for her sales revenue at organizations such as Merck and WebMD. She has also served as a Course Facilitator & Coach for Stanford University in their Graduate School of Business LEAD program. In 2016, Colleen began receiving invitations from prestigious organizations including the NCAA to share her experiences and help foster the next generation of leaders.

Her mission: To help professionals across the spectrum of experience take their business and personal game to the next level using the ORCA principles.

  • Duke & UConn Graduates

    Colleen made history as the first-ever UConn Women’s Basketball walk-on player to be awarded a full scholarship an achievement she credits more to her work ethic and life philosophy than to raw athletic ability.

    Missy earned a full scholarship to play basketball at Duke University. In addition to being a member of the Blue Devil’s 1999 NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball Runners-up Championship team, Missy served 2 years as Team Captain, won 2 “Heart & Hustle” awards, and joined her team for 2 ACC Conference Championships and 5 NCAA tournaments.

  • Collegiate Coaching & Corporate America

    Following Duke, Missy went on to play professional basketball in Germany, winning a German Championship. She then began a 12-year stint of collegiate coaching at the Division III and II levels. Her top achievements include: Earning 3 Conference Coach of the Year Awards and Eastern Region Coach of the Year and inductions into the National High School Hall of Fame , New York State High School Hall of Fame , New York State Softball Hall of Fame , Franklin Academy High School Hall of Fame , 1996 High School Basketball Team - Franklin Academy , 1995 High School Softball Team - Franklin Academy , and the North Country Athletics Hall of Fame.

    Colleen kicked off her 25-years of sales and consulting success, first by working as a color commentator for CBS Radio then transitioning to the healthcare industry with Merck, WebMD, and Cytokinetics. She earned the Top Revenue Generator Award 3 times contributed $55M in aggregate sales/revenue across 8.5 calendar sales years at WebMD, While at Merck, she was a 3 time Vice President’s Club Recipient and earned Merck’s highest medallion, for Top 5% individual sales contribution.

  • Founding ORCA Leadership

    After Colleen was recognized with the The Trailblazer of Courage Award for the Women’s Sports Museum in 2018 and Missy gave the acceptance speech at her 2017 inductions into the National High School Hall of Fame in 2017, they co-founded ORCA Leadership, to teach other professionals how to strive towards excellence by overcoming self-doubt and breaking through their comfort zones.
